The Oil Screw Press is a mechanical device used to extract oil from seeds or other plant-based materials through a pressing process. It operates based on the principle of high pressure generated by a helical screw rotating inside a cylinder.
How it's Works:
- Feeding: Raw materials, such as palm kernels, soybeans, or sunflower seeds, are fed into the hopper.
- Pressing: The screw rotates to push the material forward, compressing it within the filtering chamber.
- Separation: Oil is separated from the material through small gaps or perforations in the cylinder walls, while solid waste (cake) is discharged at the end of the device.
- Collection: Extracted oil is collected through the outlet channel.
Advantages of the Oil Screw Press:
- High efficiency: Optimizes oil extraction.
- Simple design: Easy to operate and maintain.
- Wide application: Suitable for various types of oilseeds.
