Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)
Separation of suspended solids, floc, oil, and grease using microbubbles.
Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) dissolves air into pressurized water to produce dissolved air water (DAW). When the pressure drops through a release device, microbubbles form and attach to floc, suspended solids, oil, grease, and fine particles. The contaminants then rise to the surface and are collected by a scum skimmer.
